Onion Stuffed Parathas

500 gm whole wheat flour
2 onions finely chopped                
2 inch piece ginger, very finely chopped 
2  green chillies, very finely chopped                                           

½ cup coriander leaves, chopped      
1 tsp salt
½ cup oil                         


1. Place the flour in a container in which you normally knead your dough. Add all the other ingredients (add just half the oil; keep the other half for when the parathas are being cooked) and make a stiff dough. (It’s alright if the ginger makes its presence strongly felt, that’s how it should be.) Green chillies can be used as per your liking.
2. Make balls of the dough and proceed as you would for making rotis. This dough will not be as thin as for rotis, and will need to cook for longer. Do not cook on a very high flame, since this might cause it to burn on the outside and be raw on the inside.

3. Serve hot with dal, sabji or raita.
